"This is Viet Cantonese cuisine and there is a wide selection of food. Food was served very quickly. For two persons, we ordered the pork chop fried rice, char kuey teow, and pho with beef tendon. Super tasty!!"
"Great food and efficient service. This place is always packed, but service is fast and friendly so you’re never waiting long. Heaps of variety; from noodle soup to rice dishes and stir fries. We ordered the double pork chop with broken rice — really yum — and the flame-grilled chicken vermicelli salad, which was fresh and flavourful. The Malaysian-style chicken fried rice noodles with egg gravy were a standout, and both the chicken and pork were incredibly tender. Everything we tried was really good overall, though the special fried rice was just average compared to the rest. Definitely worth a visit if you don’t mind a busy spot with consistently good food."
"Jan2025 Back here again and enjoyed another two dishes we tried - S&P quails & seafood hotpot. The variety on menu is amazing in itself. Food comes within 10 minutes of ordering. I was impressed. Good job, Kitchen team. Restaurant offers 700+ menu items including drinks and desserts. We tried 4 and will return for more. Food came out within 15 minutes after ordering even though it was busy lunch time I ordered a dish which was similar to a Malaysian soup noodle. Loved the Viet version, too. Sorry, forgot the name as it was quite long. Will come again"
"Haven't been back for more than 10 years! Food still excellent, probably one of the best Vietnamese food in Melbourne. Had the vermicelli spring roll and grilled pork- they even had fried shallots in it! Stir fried beef on tomato rice was excellent too, beef was flavorful. Combination beef pho soup tasted good too."
"-Arrived before 2pm on a Saturday, still very busy. Turnover was quite quick, was lucky to get a table after 5 minutes waiting outside in the cold. -Lots of options on the menu, makes it hard to pick! Also some photos which helps promote the popular dishes. -Very busy so wait staff walking back & forth with food. Service was fast, didn’t wait long for the dishes. -The dessert was suppose to come 10-15 mins after mains were served but didn’t so had to follow up. Wouldn’t recommend the banana with ice cream and lychee. The batter wasn’t the best & just didn’t taste nice but the ice cream and lychee helped give some flavour. -Both our main dishes were nice and would recommend. The rice to meat potion for me was a bit off, had lots of rice left over. -Would recommend!"
"Just had an amazing meal at His Tran Restaurant and I’m seriously impressed! We ordered the stir-fried beef with egg gravy, soft shell crabs, and their special chicken fried rice — every dish was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavour. The beef was tender and perfectly cooked with that rich, silky egg gravy — pure comfort food. The soft shell crabs were crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and packed with umami. And that chicken fried rice? A standout! Fragrant, well-seasoned, and full of texture. Incredible flavours, warm service, and a great dining vibe. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a flavourful Asian meal that hits all the right notes!"
